Lily Applicant Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 21/08/2025
1. About Lily
Lily is software provided by Progreso AI Limited (t/a Lily). We help employers run fair and consistent hiring processes.
When you apply for a job through Lily, you are entering into an agreement with:
The employer who advertised the role (they run the job and make hiring decisions); and
Lily (we provide the platform that supports the application process).
2. What We Do and Don’t Do
We pass your application to the employer you choose.
We help employers run a fair, structured, and consistent application process.
We may use automated scoring to support consistency, but final hiring decisions always rest with the employer.
We are not an employment agency and do not guarantee that you will secure a role.
3. Your Responsibilities
By applying through Lily, you agree that:
The information you provide is accurate and not misleading.
You will not upload content that is offensive, discriminatory, unlawful, or infringes the rights of others.
You will only use Lily for genuine job applications.
4. Use of Your Information
Your information will be handled in line with our Privacy Policy. In particular:
The employer you apply to is responsible for your application data.
Lily processes your information to:
deliver and manage the recruitment process on the employer’s behalf;
make sure the process is fair, consistent, and accessible for all applicants;
monitor and improve our systems for accuracy, fairness, and security; and
if you give consent, keep your details in our talent pool so we can match you to suitable opportunities in the future.
We regularly test Lily’s systems to check for bias and accuracy.
5. Automated Scoring
Some employers use Lily’s automated questions and scoring tools to help treat all applicants in the same way.
How it works – Our system compares your answers against the requirements the employer sets for the role. It produces a score or recommendation to support consistency.
What it means for you – These scores are only one input into the hiring process. Employers remain fully responsible for all hiring decisions. Lily does not decide who is hired or rejected.
Fairness checks – We regularly test Lily’s systems for bias, accuracy, and fairness to reduce the risk of unfair outcomes.
Your rights – You can always:
ask for an explanation of how a decision was reached; and
request a human review if you believe an automated score has treated you unfairly.
Responsibility – Employers are solely responsible for final hiring decisions and outcomes. Lily provides tools to support consistency but does not control or guarantee results.
6. Availability of Lily
We aim to keep Lily available at all times, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.
We may update, suspend, or improve Lily from time to time.
7. Our Liability
Lily provides the platform only. We are not responsible for the outcome of your job application.
Employers are solely responsible for their hiring decisions.
We are not liable for any loss (financial or otherwise) arising from an employer’s decision.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability where it cannot be limited by law (such as death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud).
8. Intellectual Property
All rights in the Lily platform, brand, and content remain with Progreso AI Limited. You may only use Lily for your own job applications.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
